"What used to be a constant tug of war is now a much more relaxing time."

Owner’s Reported Problem: Dog pulled on leash. Not fun to walk. His children were not allowed to walk the dog.

Training Results: Entire family now enjoys walking the dog. Dog is no longer the pack leader.

"I just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you how well Gryffin is doing since we started following your consultation's advice. Prior to your visit, taking the dog out was a chore that had to be shared among the four of us. Now, I find myself looking forward and willing to take Gryffin out even when it was raining for four straight evenings. What used to be a constant tug of war is now a much more relaxing time. I could even say it's more of a bonding time. I'm not saying he's perfect now, but at least now I'm not calling his name through my gritted teeth. Thanks for your help, and I look forward to showing you our progress next time."

"You have been a lifesaver!”

Owner’s Reported Problem: Dog would get over excited with distractions in neighborhood.

Training Result: All family members now able to walk dog past distractions, especially other dogs.

“We just want to thank you again for your training sessions with Sammy.  He's coming along well. Being a puppy, he is still a bit excitable but now we know the correct commands to calm him down.  You have been a lifesaver!  Walking with Sammy was not enjoyable before but now I can say I'm walking him as opposed to him walking me.”

“Your understanding of how the mind of a dog thinks is impressive!”

Owner’s Reported Problem: Owner wanted help in passing therapy dog program exams.

Training Result: Owner passed exam on 1st attempt, after working with me.

“Thanks to you Peter, I am proud to say that on Sunday December 09, 2007, Haley and I passed the program to become a registered team with Delta Society Therapy Dogs. We will be going next for Certification with Therapy Dog International.

I can't thank you enough for your help in teaching Haley to be manageable on leash while in distracting environments.  I was nervous and was trying to hard to be perfect during the exam, and your training techniques helped me have better control of her. Your understanding of how the mind of a dog thinks is impressive!

Its dedicated trainers and instructors like you who play an important role in positive control, communications, and behavioral understandings of being a good pet owner and caretaker. Thanks again for your help.”
—Martin and Haley Wigglebottoms, Westerly, RI
